Health Care Plus Reaches Another Mile Marker With A Deficiency Free Survey

MARIETTA, OH – They may not happen all that often and, to some, they were once considered an urban legend, but the staff of Health Care Plus is here to tell you that they know from personal experience that deficiency free surveys really do happen.

On July 19th, 2007, after a three day long process, Health Care Plus was given the news that their annual re-certification survey conducted by the Ohio Department of Health ended without one deficiency.

For those of you who have been in the health care arena for any length of time, you know how extraordinary this is. In a letter addressed to me and dated July 25th, 2007 from ODH, it states, “ Deficiency free surveys indicate a significant effort on the part of the administration and staff. It is an accomplishment for which you and all staff at Health Care Plus can be justifiably proud.” Proud we are!!

“The survey that was conducted in July follows a year of tremendous growth and expansion for HCP, “ stated Tootie Oelslager, RN and Executive Director of HCP. “It’s a real accomplishment at any time to have a deficiency free survey, but for this to happen during such growth says a lot about the staff and the dedication of our clinicians in the field,” Oelslager continued. Hats off to the staff of Health Care Plus for all of their hard work and their dedication to compassionate and compliant care. We are all so proud of you.
