Privacy Statement

We respect and strive to protect your privacy. That is why we have adopted this Privacy Statement. We will take steps to use your personal information in ways that are compatible with this Privacy Statement. The following policies are only in effect for the Web pages, newsletters, discussion lists and opt-in announcement lists owned and operated by The Marden Companies1 (“Marden”). The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the following Web site: (the “Marden Network”)2.

What information are you collecting and how are you collecting it?

When you browse our Web site you do so anonymously. Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers, which serve as that computer’s “Internet Protocol” (“IP”) address. When a visitor requests a page from any Web site within the Marden Network, our Web servers automatically recognize that visitor’s domain name and IP address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than the IP address from which you have accessed our site. We use this information to examine our traffic in the aggregate, and to investigate misuse of the Marden Network or its authorized users, and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies. See also “Will you disclose the information you collect to outside third parties?” We do not collect and evaluate this information for specific individuals. Our Web servers do not automatically record e-mail addresses of the visitors. We will not collect any personally identifiable information about you (e.g., your name, address, telephone number or email address ("personal data")) through our websites unless you have provided it to us voluntarily. If you do not want your personal data collected, please do not submit it to us.

When you do provide us with personal data, we may use that information in the following ways, unless stated otherwise: we may store and process that information to better understand your needs and how we can improve our products and services. We may also use that information to contact you. We do not and do not intend to sell, rent or market personal data about you to third parties.

In some cases, when you connect to our site we may automatically (i.e., not via registration) collect technical information that is not personally identifiable. Examples of this type of information include the type of Internet Browser you are using, the type of computer operating system you are using and the domain name of the website from which you linked to our site.
